7 months old {a few days late!}

Dear Hanny,

Your 7 month old birthday came and went...I almost forgot about it!  You have kept us very busy this past month!! Here are some of the new things you have been doing lately. 

You are sitting up all by yourself!! In the beginning of the month, you would sit for a few  seconds and then fall backwards...this did not make you very happy.  Now, you sit for as long as you want and sometimes happily fall down so that you can roll all over.  You are becoming so strong!

Rolling is your new job.  You get from point A (where Mama puts you down) to point B (grabbing something you shouldn't be----mama's cell phone, a dirty shoe, Hilo) pretty quickly! You look like a steamroller!  

During mid-roll, you will pull your legs up and try to crawl, but you can't quite figure out what do to with your hands and arms. I give it another month and you will be cruising all over!

You are eating better than ever! You chug all your bottles pretty quickly and then are ready for your favorites--a banana, applesauce, or pear!  You are absolutely not a fan of carrots and peas. You usually take a bite or two and then you blow green or orange razberries all over your mama's face...what a mess!  But, you think it's hysterical.  You are definitely packing on the pounds. You gained one pound in one month putting you at 16.8 lbs as off Monday!

Boy, are you ticklish! We know just the spots to get you laughing every time.  Right under your rib cage and the bottom of your feet!!  You are too cute when you laugh!

 FINALLY, you have been able to put your unkies (pacifier) back in your mouth.  Mama has been waiting for this for 7 months!  No more running back and forth into your nursery to put it back in your mouth.  Usually, there are about 2-3 unkies in your crib at all times so that you can find it wherever you are during nap time and bed.  The best is when you put it in crooked or upside down...but, you never care!  

Naptime is wonderful!  After much sleep training... you now nap at 9 am and 1 pm... each for about 1-2 hours. Mama couldn't be happier!! Now she can get a little break and relax.  Great job, little Hanny!  

You sit in the shopping cart all by yourself!  You look so tiny in your little seat---sometimes Mama is worried that she will get stopped and told that you are way too little to be sitting by yourself.  But, you do great and love it.  

That's all the new stuff you have been doing!! I can't wait to see what this month brings... we are hoping for some crawling!!  Watch out Hilo :)
